Heather Mangieri, MS, RDN, CSSD

Mangieri is the owner of Heather Mangieri Nutrition where she offers food, fitness and nutrition consulting services to companies, organizations and individuals. She writes, speaks and consults extensively, providing guidance for registered dietitians, athletic trainers, coaches, parents and athletes on how to properly fuel for growth, development and sports performance, as well as disordered eating in sport, and fueling busy lifestyles.

In 2017, Mangieri authored Fueling Young Athletes (Human Kinetics, 2017.) She’s written publications for the NCAA Sport Science Institute, Today’s Dietitian, Food and Nutrition Magazine and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She’s been a board certified specialist in sports dietetics since 2009, and served as an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Spokesperson for 8 years. In 2012, she received the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Keystone Award  for demonstrating outstanding professional standards.

Mangieri received her bachelor of science in nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University and her master’s in wellness and human performance from the University of Pittsburgh.
