Vice President of Clinical Nutrition Services for Alsana (Eating Disorder Treatment Center)

Julia is an experienced RD who has worked in the Behavioral Health field for almost 20 years, with a  focus on adolescent and adult eating disorder and mental health recovery  Currently Julia is the Vice President of Clinical Nutrition for Alsana, Eating Disorder Recovery Treatment. She obtained a BS Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State University, Long Beach and a MS Degree in Exercise Science from California University, Pennsylvania. Julia is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and a Licensed Body Positive facilitator. Julia is the current Past Chair for BHN. (Behavioral Health Nutrition, Didactic Practice Group through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics). Prior to becoming chair for BHN Julia was the Mental Health Resource Professional for 2 years. Julia has presented the topic of eating disorders, mental health nutrition, nutrition for SUD recovery, food flexibility, dietary application of exposure and response prevention and intuitive eating both nationally and internationally.
