Maggie Dylewski Begis, PhD, RD, LD 


Current Position: Clinical Associate Professor and DPD Director

Begis has over 19 years of experience in clinical dietetics and research with a focus on burn injuries. She has published numerous manuscripts and textbook chapters related to burn injuries and critical illness.  She has been reviewing manuscripts for the Journal of Burn Care and Research and the Journal of the International Society for Burn Injuries since 2012.  Begis currently teaches a variety of courses at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), including Medical Nutrition Therapy at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  She is also a faculty member of the interdisciplinary Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program (LEND) program. 

Begis earned her bachelor of science degree in nutrition science and master’s degree in nutrition science from The Pennsylvania State University.  She also earned a doctorate in Medical Nutrition Sciences from Boston University.
