2024 Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual® Update Summary 

 

The Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual® (PNCM®) nutrition care sections and corresponding client education handouts are updated on a rolling basis. The reason behind this approach is to provide the most up to date and evidence-based nutrition information as soon as it is finalized, which positively benefits you and your patients and clients. 

 

We will keep you informed of updated nutrition care sections and corresponding client education handouts and you can also access this year-to-date summary anytime.

  • The redesigned PDF format and Spanish translations for the updated client education handouts, along with Arabic, Chinese, and Vietnamese translations for most popular client education handouts will be available shortly after each update.

The Normal Nutrition section is now titled General and Lifecycle and consists of the following topics: Breastfeeding and Lactation Support, Full-Term Infants, Toddlers, Preschool Children, School-Age Children, Adolescents, Youth Athletes, and Vegetarian Nutrition.

The Normal Nutrition client education section is now titled Lifecycle.

The Malnutrition Related to Undernutrition nutrition care section is now titled Malnutrition and consists of the following topics: Malnutrition Related to Undernutrition and Underweight. Note: The Underweight nutrition care section moved from Weight Management.

The Renal nutrition care and client education sections are now titled Kidney Disease.
